The day implemented for love wasn't over yet. It was mid-afternoon, and the party was already reaching half-way. It wasn't really that much fun when all Chinen could ever think about was Daiki.

Chinen was glancing--staring--at Daiki's back as the older boy was talking to Takaki. Then, Chinen's attention diverted to the person who tapped his shoulder.

"Eh..?"

"Ne, Chinen." It was Hikaru.

Chinen had on an annoyed face. "What..?"

"Can I have a rose..?"

"Eh..?"

"Please..?" Hikaru had on a puppy face.

Chinen has seen better. "What do you want it for?"

Hikaru looked down, blushing, and Chinen noticed Inoo talking to Yabu just a few feet behind him. Ah...

"Un," Chinen nodded. "Ask Taiga for one. Tell him I asked you to get one." Hikaru looked up to see a grinning Chinen.

"Thank you!" Hikaru glomped Chinen before dashing out the door.

Chinen sighed. Guess Hikaru has someone.

The hours passed and Chinen still thought about Daiki. He also thought about confessing to Yabu, but that's a different subject. Chinen wondered if he should give Daiki a rose. He even asked the other members for opinions.

"Go for it!" Hikaru said as he san on the couch with Chinen.

"Eh? Why?!" the younger asked.

"Well...don't you like him?"

"Ano...Yes...but..." Chinen hesitated.

"But what?"

"I don't want to get rejected!" Chinen said. "..And he broke up with me!"

"Then don't you want to get back together?"

"He doesn't want to! Like I said, HE broke up with ME. So clearly, it's never going to happen, Hikaru-kun."

Another familiar voice from behind Chinen suggested, "Why don't you tell him how you feel then?"

"Inoo-chan," Chinen began again exasperatedly. "What good will it do, anyway?"

Inoo and Hikaru didn't respond. Chinen continued, "I mean, he's the one who ended it. Doesn't that mean he's tired of me? I'm happy--probably--with us just being friends again. Giving him a rose might just give off an awkward feeling between us...again." Chinen gave a sigh. "So...I'll think about it. After all...I'm over him."

Inoo and Hikaru exchanged unnoticable worried glances. They knew Chinen's smile was most of the time fake. They knew Chinen tried so hard. They knew Chinen still loved him. Everyone knew...

..except Daiki himself.

Everyone knew Chinen was still hurting...

..Daiki still doesn't notice. He thinks everything is finally okay between them.

Why?

"Because Dai-chan is a dense idiot." Ryutaro commented bluntly one time.

Hikaru and Inoo nodded in agreement.

Yabu patted Ryutaro's head and smiled appologetically.

Ryosuke gave Yuto a worried glance. Yuto wrapped an arm around Ryosuke reassuringly.

Takaki gave Chinen a hug.

Chinen sighed.

Soon, the whole JUMP--except Daiki--had joined the conversation. They all gave Chinen advice and support. They wanted to help Chinen, too.

Something Chinen doesn't really want. He doesn't want people to pity him.

"Daiki's too dense," Ryutaro muttered.

Yabu sighed exasperatedly. "Ryutaro..."

"Do you want me to talk to him?" Inoo offered.

Chinen furiously shook his head. "No! Don't..."

Inoo nodded understandingly.

"He doesn't know, right?" Yuto asked.

Chinen nodded sadly.

"Then...don't you want him to know?" Ryosuke asked this time.

"It's enough to be just friends," Chinen repeated himself.

Takaki told him, "You're too 'sweet' but seriously..."

"Don't worry," Chinen gave a small smile. "I'll manage."

So the party was nearing the main point. Chinen lifted his arm to check the time on his watch. 4:01 pm.

He sighed. Everyone was having so much fun. Not that he didn't as some points though. But wouldn't it be fun to spend this day with someone you love? After all, it's still Valentine's Day. Oh yeah.

"Chinen-kun! Chinen-kun!"

The said boy turned around from his position on leaning on the door frame of their dressing room.

"Casey?" A junior.

"Help me! I like Taiga!"

Oh, great. Even he has one. "And so..? Why are you confessing to me?" I can't even get my love life straightened out.

"Can you lend me a rose?"

"Lend?"

"I'll pay for it~!"

"Eh..You don't have to pay for it. Just get it--" Oooh, crap.

"What's wrong?"

"My roses..."

"What about them?"

"They're with Taiga."

So Chinen dragged Casey back to the juniors' dressing rooms. Chinen looked around to see if Taiga was around. He wasn't. Chinen opened Taiga's locker, and just as the junior said--it was open. He grabbed the plastic bag of roses and handed Casey one of the roses inside.

"How do I give it to him?" Casey asked worriedly.

"Eh??" Chinen furrowed his eyebrows. "Just hand it over like, 'Taiga, suki desu.' Now, ja~!"

"Wait!" Casey grabbed Chinen's wrist. "Help me~! I can't do it face-to-face!"

"What better confession than face-to-face?!"

Casey pouted. "But..."

"Fine." Chinen sighed. "Put it in his bag. Leave a note with it, too. That's the only solution I have."

The junior hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Okay. Thank you so much, Chinen-kun!"

Chinen smiled. "Good luck." He went back to the JUMP dressing room.

Chinen saw Yabu standing beside the couch, chatting with a few of the members--Hikaru and Ryutaro; why him? Because he thinks much more maturely than most of them members, anyway--and some of their senpais--Jin, Nakamaru and Ryo--who just happened to stroll by.

The smallest member of JUMP sighed and grabbed another rose from the pink plastic bag he was carrying. He sighed and slowly approached Yabu. When he was near enough, about a foot, he reached out with one hand--rose hidden at his back with another--and tapped the eldest's shoulder.

Yabu turned around to see Chinen. He turned back around again and grabbed something from the paper bag on the couch. Yabu turned again to Chinen and stretched out his hand to hand over a pink rose. Chinen accepted the rose with a smile, but also handed over Yabu the red rose he's hidden at his back.

"You already gave me one," Yabu told him, curiosity etched a little on his face.

"Yeah, I know," Chinen replied with a smile.

"Extra?"

Chinen's smile widened. "Not really."

Yabu smiled. "Ah. Thank you."

Chinen could feel a blush creeping up his cheeks. "Ah... K. Bye."

He quickly turned around to look for Ryutaro. Chinen needed the younger boy to do his 'plan'.

Plan..? Yeah, right.

After thinking the whole day, Chinen had finally decided what to do with the last rose.

.kei. so sorry for the late update of this fic. gaaa~h. i actually found the notebook where half of this was written. thank you for the support, minna~ but i'm afraid i will be dying soon. my mom just god mad at me...for some stuff. plus, i have summer clases. TT____TT ok. fine. they didn't tell me that yet. we'll still find out on friday. but before i die...i leave you this chapter..? T____T so yeah. k. bye.
