February 14--Valentine's Day. It was the time for lovers. It can also be the time for best friends. As long as your loved one is near, the day is just absolutely perfect.

. . But it was already about a month since.

Chinen and Daiki still remained good friends. Why not, right? They were friends even before. Chinen, mostly, acted like everything was completely fine. He was still the spoiled, sharp-tongued, innocent-looking member of JUMP. Inoo kept asking Chinen if he was alright everyday since the break-up. The younger member would smile, nod, and assure Inoo that everything's fine. But when, in fact, deep down, Chinen himself knew he wasn't. That doesn't help him at all. And what doesn't help him the most is the fact that Daiki also told Chinen about the one he liked now. He even showed him who. My Replacement--a term according to Chinen.

It was the 13th--the day before Valentine's Day.

"So, Chii," Ryosuke began while the two boys were walking towards their dressing room. "What're you planning for Valentine's Day?"

Chinen, who was walking beside Ryosuke, was thoughtful for a moment before he answered, "I don't know. Nothing, probably."

"Eh?" Ryosuke was a bit surprised. "You're not doing anything for Dai-chan?"

Chinen looked up at Ryosuke, a little bit confused. "We broke up, remember?"

"Yeah, I know." Ryosuke smiled. "But that doesn't mean that it has to stop you from doing something special for him, ne?"

"Yeah," Chinen answered. "I guess."

"After all," Ryosuke looked at Chinen straight in the eyes, still smiling. "you're still not over him, right?"

"He's never crossed my mind at all! I'm completely over him!" Chinen told Ryosuke. Ryosuke just looked at him skeptically. Chinen sighed. "Yeah. You're right."

Entering the dressing room, Ryosuke immediately went and sat next to Yuto on one of the couches. Chinen just watched, and smiled, as Yuto put and arm around Ryosuke, and he rested his head on Yuto's shoulder.

"What are you smiling about?" Chinen heard someone ask. He looked beside him and saw Ryutaro pass by.

Chinen followed Ryutaro, and sat down on the other couch beside the younger boy before answering, "It's amazing, isn't it?" Ryutaro looked at Chinen, tilting his head a bit in confusion. Chinen continued, "No matter how many fights, arguments, or problems Yuto-kun and Yama-chan had, they're still together. It's been quite long, ne. You know, them together?"

"Well, they are best friends," Ryutaro said, giving a quick glance at the two said boys on one side of the room.

"I know." Chinen sighed. "And they're also going out. I have to admit, I can't help but feel a little jealous."

Ryutaro glanced at Yuto and Ryosuke again, then at Daiki who was having a conversation with Takaki. "But aren't you and Dai-chan still friends?" he asked.

"Well, yeah." Chinen also glanced at Daiki quickly, and turned back to Ryutaro. "But...it's different, you know."

"Do you regret asking him out now?"

Chinen asnwered hesitantly, "I don't know."

Ryutaro raised an eyebrow. Chinen sighed.

"No."

FInally, it came. It's Saturday, and also Valentine's Day. It was actually a no work day, but JUMP decided to go to the jimusho anyway to spend the special occasion with the other members, juniors and their senpais. Johnny allowed them to.

Chinen went in the jimusho bringing a long pink-colored plastic bag with five long-stemmed roses. Chinen bought it the day before, and prices of the flowers went higher for Valentine's Day. He met with Taiga in the hallways of the juniors, and asked the younger boy to hide the roses for him for awhile. Taiga nodded, and hid it in his locker telling Chinen, "I'll leave my locker open just in case you need to get them while I'm not around." Chinen thanked Taiga with a hug and greeted him Happy Valentine's Day before meeting up with the other JUMP members in their dressing room.

On the way to their dressing room, Chinen spotted Yabu talking to Akanishi Jin of KAT-TUN just near their dressing room. Chinen--who finally realized that he has some feelings for Yabu--had his heart beating like mad. He ran back to the juniors dressing room and asked Taiga for the roses. He grabbed one and ran back to find Yabu. This time, he saw Yabu walking from their dressing room with Yamashita Shoon and Jin. He breathed in, and nervously walked to them, meeting the three older boys in the middle. Jokingly, Jin held out his hand to "accept" the rose. Chinen just ignored him and faced Yabu, stretching out his hand holding the rose.

Yabu's eyes widened as he pointed his index finger at himself. "For me?"

Chinen gave a small, shy nod.

Yabu accepted the rose saying, "Thank you." He approached Chinen and gave him a small hug.

When Yabu stepped back, Shoon joked, "Kiss!"

Chinen turned a little red, and Yabu also joked, stepping closer to Chinen again. He didn't kiss Chinen--and Chinen wasn't willing to get a kiss from Yabu, either--but just hugged him once more.

After pulling apart this time, Chinen ran into the dressing room, a small smile on his face. Yabu, Shoon, and Jin went on walking along the jimusho's hallways. Chinen's smile disappeared when he saw...

"Dai-chan!" Takaki called out. The said boy turned around and greeted Takaki a Happy Valentine's Day before starting a conversation.

Chinen's heart always sank everytime his eyes see Daiki. He remembers the break-up clearly. And he knew all too well how much he wanted to smack Daiki upside the head. But he couldn't. I love him too much. He didn't cry, either. I don't want him to be sad, too. He didn't want Daiki to worry. I hope he'll do well.

"Chii!"

Chinen snapped out of his dazed state and faced his caller. "Oh," he thought. "It's him."

Daiki walked towards Chinen, attempting to start a conversation. "Hey! Have you heard the new Arashi single?" Chinen--even though they were talking about Arashi--just tried to smile, and nodded.

"I guess," Chinen thought, sighing, as he watched Daiki walk away after they talked. "I'm still not over him."

.is this a bit long..? gomene...oh. and i'm too lazy to finish it. it'll add to the next chapter. the 2nd and 3rd rose will be given out...and also the 4th rose probably. XD the 2nd and 3rd rose is unimportant. XD seriously. XD so yeah. that's it for this chapter, i guess... XD

..AGH. i swear to god, i hate yamachii~! but i will have to make a fic of it for a friend. --___--; i'm sorry to those offended. i just think that ryosuke is made for yuto..while chinen is made for daiki. it's a matter of opinion. sorry. --__--;
