*WARNING/S: ..something quite...unexpected happens in the end...and i actually cried just thinking about the fic...those who read it...I'M SORRY if you hate me now..! VERY SORRY..! but it was worth a shot right..? someone asked me to make a Daichii angst. O.o so sorry..!

I can honestly say you've been on my mind since i woke up today, up today...


He yawned and stretched as much as his weak body can. He slowly opened his eyes as the bright sun shone through his window, welcoming him to another day. Looking around slowly, observing the room he just woke up in, he sighed. The walls were white, so were the tiles. The cover on his bed were white, and the people passing by his door--that he can see through a small window--wore white. Practically, almost everything was white. He knew where he was, not matter how badly he wanted not to be in that place.


Everything was clear to him. He doesn't like this place; in fact, he could say he hates it. Unfortunately, he has to be kept there. He has no choice. He is, little by little, losing hope. There's only one thing--or more likely, person--that has kept him going through all this, giving him some more hope. That person has been on his mind since he knew he was awake that morning. That person--the most important to him--was the first one to enter his mind the moment he realized he was conscious. He sighed once more.


I look at your photograph all the time...

These memories come back to life...

And I don't mind...


Chinen looked around the room again, and his eyes stopped to the table beside his bed. Slowly, his lips curved into a smile. He was eyeing a green and black striped picture frame with his favorite picture. It was Daiki and him, smiling, happier together than ever. It was twilight--the sun setting, and there was beautiful red and orange contrast in the background. Suddenly, even though Chinen was smiling, tears started forming on the corners of his eyes. He wiped them off, trying to hold back from crying, when he heard a knock on the door.


Chinen's eyes darted to the door that was slolwly opening. Once more, he gave a small, but happy, smile. Entering the door first was Ryosuke. He was dragging Yuto, who was carrying a giant teddy bear and some sunflowers, into the room.


"Chii!" Ryosuke greeted, hurrying to rush at Chinen's side. "How are you?"


"I'm fine, Yama-chan. Thanks," Chinen replied.


As Yuto was putting the sunflowers down onto a table across from Chinen's bed, he pointed out, "We brought sunflowers, instead of roses, ne. That's because they could light up the room a bit, and the sunflower seems to be a very happy flower!" Chinen's smile grew brighter--as bright as the sunflowers the two older boys brought for him.


"And," Ryosuke added, "you're like the sunflower of our group. You bring happiness to us," He looked at Yuto with a smile. "ne, Yuto?" Yuto nodded happily in agreement.


"Hey, hey, hey!" someone from the door called out.


"Hikaru, you finally came!" Yuto said.


"Hai!" Hikaru answered with a big grin. "I even brought Yabu with me!" he added, pulling on Yabu's arm to enter the room.


"Sorry. We had to buy this," Yabu said, holding out a plastic bag with Chinen's favorite gyoza.


Inoo suddenly came rushing into the room. "Ne, I'm here! And I have brought you..." He trailed off as he pulled out a bouquet of white roses from behind him.


"I missed you, guys," Chinen told them, showing the best smile he can.


"What about me?" Takaki came in the room after Keito, who was bringing Chinen a soft stuffed, toy penguin. For a moment, Chinen looked at the penguin which somehow reminded him of something--or someone--before he finally looked at Takaki and replied. "Yuuyan, of course I miss you, too." Keito looked at the two of them, knowing how important Takaki was to Chinen and how close they were, he smiled.


Suddenly, the member of JUMP that were there in Chinen's room heard a shout just outside their room. "Shintaro! Yamero yo!" Then some crashing after that.


Ryutaro entered the room with a frustrated face. "Gomenasai," he apologized to everyone. "I couldn't leave Shintaro at home alone since Okaasan took my sister to a party." He pulled at the pouting Shintaro's arm and approached Chinen. "Here, Chii," said Ryutaro, handing Chinen a box of candy.


Shintaro added, "Taiga and Casey's coming, too! We worked hard on your present. They'll bring it here together."


"Minna..." Chinen's eyes started to fill with tears, which he tried to hold back. "A-arigato..."


Everyone in the room looked at Chinen and smiled.


"We're always here for you, Chii," Yabu told him encouragingly.


"You can always count on us!" Hikaru added, showing another one of his goofy grins.


Chinen still couldn't help but wonder why...something was missing. His heart was full of happiness, he could admit that, but still...To him, there was still a missing piece of his heart. The JUMP members that were there, some of the juniors that were close to him...all were there. But...


"Gomene~!" Taiga came rushing into the room. Casey entered carrying a huge 'Get Well Soon' card. Shintaro helped open the big card to show Chinen.


"Mite!" Taiga pointed out. "Even Yamapi-senpai, Teshi-senpai, Massu-senpai, Kame-senpai, Jin-senpai, Sho-senpai, Nino-senpai--" He was cut off when Casey looked above the card he was holding and finally said, "We asked our senpais to write a special message just for you!"


"Ah!" Yuto noticed something. "Even Ohno-kun wrote you a message."


Chinen's eyes brightened as he read Ohno's message first. He read the other messages and smiled another bright smile. "Arigato..." he said. "Minna...arigato..."


Nobody wanted to look worried, nor sad in front of Chinen. Everyone tried to put on their best and brightest smiles. They knew where this was going...and they didn't want to remind Chinen of that. Heck, they didn't even want to remind themselves of that. They weren't sure when it was going to happen...


...but they hope it wasn't too soon.

.hai~! another fic...this has only 2 chapters...it was supposed to be a one-shot but i can't control what i was writing so it had to be 2. XDD hahaha. so there. i'll continue the 'can i have this dance..?' fic soon enough. i just needed to post this before i forget what it's about. gomene~ X3 and since i'm a little depressed... yeah... fuji-chan knows what happens to the fics. XD so i cant continue 'can i have this dance..?' if everyone wants it to end happily without anyone dying... XD so sorry about that... arigato ne..! ja~

Daki really isnt in this chapter yet...that's what makes it...erm...supposedly...misunderstood...i meant to make this confusing so...yeah. XDD sorry about that. XD i'll make chapter 2 clear for everyone ne. X3 gomene~! arigato~!
